6 Killed in 24 Hours: Woman Killed in Tamra and Injuries in Other Towns

SadaNews - A woman was killed in Tamra, and two young men and a young woman were injured in separate crimes in Qalansawe, Tayibe, and Rahat, amid the continued negligence and complicity of Israeli authorities and police in light of the rampant crime among Palestinian citizens of Israel.

Wafa Tawfiq Awad (50 years old) was killed in a shooting crime committed in the city of Tamra in the Galilee region. Prior to this, a young woman and two other young men were moderately injured in separate crimes in Tayibe, Rahat, and Qalansawe on Thursday evening; raising the death toll among Arab citizens since the beginning of the year to 43, including 6 in the last 24 hours and 17 this month.

In Tamra, the "Al-Zahrawi" medical center reported that its crew performed resuscitation operations on the injured woman before transferring her to the intensive care unit at "Rambam" Hospital in Haifa, where she was suffering from critical wounds in the upper part of her body. However, her death was later pronounced after attempts to save her life failed.

Paramedic Ahmad Abu Al-Hejah stated, "We saw the woman on the ground, unconscious, suffering from serious injuries that penetrated her body. We conducted medical checks, but she showed no signs of life and her death was declared."

Clashes occurred between citizens and Israeli police officers at the crime scene, including throwing stones and sound bombs to disperse the locals who expressed their anger and outrage over the rampant crime and police complicity.

In Tayibe in the southern triangle region, a 24-year-old woman was moderately injured due to a shooting incident.

Details revealed that the young woman was shot by a masked assailant after leaving one of the shops and while backing her vehicle.

A medical team from "Magen David Adom" provided first aid to the injured woman, who was then transferred to "Meir" Hospital in Kfar Saba for further treatment, with her condition described as moderate.

In Rahat, a 36-year-old man was moderately injured as a result of a shooting incident on Thursday evening.

The injured individual was taken to a clinic in the city, where he received initial treatment before being transported to "Soroka" Hospital in Be'er Sheva for medical care.

In the city of Qalansawe in the southern triangle region, a 22-year-old man was also moderately injured from a shooting incident, and he was taken to "Meir" Hospital for treatment after receiving initial medical assistance.

The Israeli police did not announce any arrests of suspects involved in the separate crimes, continuing their negligence in deterring the rampant crime among Palestinian citizens of Israel.

This follows several hours after the killing of 5 others in separate crimes committed last night and the morning of Thursday in the towns of Yirka, Lod, Al-Fureidis, Rahat, and Shaqib as-Salam.

Thus, the death toll among Palestinian citizens of Israel since the start of the year has risen to 43, including 17 since the beginning of this month and 26 killed in January of last month, at a time when the Arab community is witnessing daily protests against the rampancy of crime and denunciations of the complicity of the Israeli authorities and police. Protests began in Sakhnin with a strike, followed by other Arab towns, and then two national demonstrations were organized in the city and Tel Aviv, along with a convoy of cars that traveled from the Arab towns to Jerusalem, in addition to rallies and protests in various towns and intersections.

2025 recorded an unprecedented death toll from murder, claiming the lives of 252 Arabs, amid accusations of police negligence and complicity with organized crime, and their failure to provide safety and security for Arab citizens.
