Zahalqa: Confronting Minister Shikly's Statements is a Dignified Stance that Raises Heads
SadaNews - Dr. Jamal Zahalqa, head of the Higher Follow-up Committee, praised the stance of Arab local authority deputy mayors who confronted Minister Aymachai Shikly's statements during their conference, describing the event as dignified and brave.
Zahalqa stated that Shikly made racist comments and accused him of supporting terrorism, also accusing MP Ayman Odeh of the same. However, representatives of the Arab community firmly confronted these statements and boycotted the minister, affirming unity in the face of racism and fascism.
He added that he commends the deputy mayors who stood with their heads held high and prevented the minister from disrespecting the representatives of the Arab community, confirming that the entire population stands with them and supports their dignified position.
Chaim Bibas, head of the Center of Local Authorities, and Mazen Ghnaim, mayor of Sakhnin and head of the National Committee of Local Authority Heads, sent an urgent message to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, requesting the declaration of criminal organizations in the Arab community as terrorist organizations, along with a timeline to dismantle them and eliminate their economic and operational infrastructure.
The message emphasized that these organizations pose a serious internal threat and engage in widespread violence and daily intimidation, calling for the use of all available security, intelligence, and technological means, alongside a large-scale campaign to collect illegal firearms, considering the phenomenon a national emergency that requires firm and immediate measures.
