Man Injured Critically in Hit-and-Run on Highway 85 Near Kfar Yasif
SadaNews - A man sustained severe injuries in a hit-and-run incident that occurred this morning when he was struck by a car on Highway 85 near the Al-Ayadiya intersection "Kfar Yasif junction" in the Galilee region.
Medical teams reported that "a call was received at the 101 information center in the Ashar area at 7:47 AM regarding a pedestrian being hit by a car on Highway 85 near the Yasif intersection".
They added that "ambulance crews arrived at the scene and provided immediate medical treatment to the injured party, a 35-year-old man, where CPR was performed on-site before he was transported to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya in critical condition".
Paramedic Ismail Khaskiya from the motorcycle unit of the "Magen David Adom", along with Chief Paramedic Salman Nasruddin, said: "Upon our arrival, we found the injured man lying on the road unconscious, with no pulse or breath, suffering from life-threatening injuries. We immediately began administering first aid, including CPR, before he was transported to the hospital in critical condition".
The occupying police claimed that they have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident.
