The Follow-Up Committee Launches a Vehicle Convoy to Halt Movement in the Country in Protest Against Crime and Violence
SadaNews - The streets of the country are witnessing widespread disruptions in traffic today, Sunday, as part of a protest movement called for by the High Follow-Up Committee for Arab Public Affairs, in protest against the rising crime and violence and the increase in murders in the Arab community. This movement began at 9:00 AM.
The committee announced the program for the protest convoy, starting at 9:00 AM from the al-Awadiah Hall parking lot in the city of Shafaram toward the beach road, then at 9:45 from the Qisaria Junction toward Ayalon Street and from there to Highway 1. The convoy will continue its journey at 11:30 from the Latron Junction towards Jerusalem, with the movement concluding with a press conference opposite the Israeli government buildings at 1:30 PM.
In the past few hours, significant movements and preparations have been recorded in several Arab towns, where organizers and volunteers announced the completion of the logistical aspects for the participating convoys, amidst expectations of participation from local leaders, social figures, and activists, in a step aimed at expressing popular anger towards what is described as governmental and security complacency in the face of rampant crime.
