The Central Elections Commission Calls on Citizens to Verify Their Data

SadaNews - The Central Elections Commission has called on citizens to verify their data in the voters' registry during the publishing and objection phase, which begins this Saturday morning and ends on Monday afternoon.

The commission stated in a press release that the publishing and objection phase is a crucial step in the electoral process, during which the preliminary voters' registry is published in all local authorities across the West Bank, totaling 420 local authorities. This allows citizens to access their data and verify its accuracy before the final registry is approved.

It clarified that the publishing and objection period lasts for three days, from Saturday, February 7, until Monday, February 9, in accordance with the legal timelines established in the schedule for the local elections of 2026. During this period, citizens can verify and correct their data or submit requests for inclusion or objection according to legal provisions.

The commission added that, in a step reflecting its aim to transition to digital services and expand access to electoral services, it has published the voters' registry on its official website. This enables citizens to view the registry electronically by selecting their governorate and local authority, and any objections must be submitted through the officially designated publishing and objection centers as per legal procedures.

The committee indicated that the objections are handled within clear and transparent legal procedures, ensuring the right to respond and appeal before the competent court within the legal timelines. It noted that the publishing and objection process is conducted under complete supervision in the presence of accredited observers and journalists, thus enhancing the levels of transparency and trust in the electoral process.

The Central Elections Commission stressed that active participation in this phase directly contributes to reinforcing the integrity of the elections and ensuring fair and accurate representation of the voters' will in the upcoming local elections.
