The Network of Civil Organizations Condemns the Submission of International Organizations to Occupation Pressures by Sharing Employee Data
SadaNews - The Palestinian Network of Civil Organizations expresses its astonishment at a few international non-governmental organizations sharing information related to their local employees under pressure from the Israeli occupation to register these organizations.
The network refers to the seriousness of this action, which contradicts the principles of international humanitarian law, humanitarian work standards, and the general position of international organizations, representing a response to the pressures of the occupation and a threat to the safety of local employees.
The network emphasizes the importance of the role of international non-governmental organizations and their efforts to alleviate the suffering of our people, especially in the Gaza Strip, as well as their human rights work in exposing the violations of the occupation and defending human rights.
The network demands the necessity of reinforcing the position rejecting these transgressions and the occupation's conditions, calling on these organizations not to share information about their employees with the occupation.
It also calls on various international bodies, especially donor countries, to exert pressure on the occupation to cancel registration procedures that affect the safety of these institutions and their employees, ensuring their work and the continued provision of their services, as well as their important role in the human rights field.
