The State Property Committee Approves Decisions to Remove Violations on State Property in Several Provinces
SadaNews - The State Property Preservation Committee held its meeting today, Sunday, at the headquarters of the Palestinian Land Authority, chaired by the Land Authority, with the participation of several official entities with relevant expertise, as part of the follow-up on state property encroachment files and enhancing joint coordination among the concerned institutions.
The meeting included representatives from the General Directorate of Police, the Ministry of Local Government, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Preventive Security Service, Military Intelligence, National Security Forces, the General Intelligence Agency, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, in addition to representatives from the provinces and state property directors in the concerned provinces.
The meeting came based on Law No. (17) of 2015 regarding the preservation of state property, where several files on state property encroachment in various provinces were discussed, along with the legal and administrative measures to be taken to address these cases, ensuring the protection of public property and preventing exploitation or encroachment upon it.
At the end of the meeting, the committee followed up on several files related to encroachment cases in the provinces of Hebron, Bethlehem, Jericho and the Jordan Valley, Ramallah and Al-Bireh, and Nablus, preparing to raise the necessary recommendations to the relevant authorities to take legal action according to established procedures.
The committee approved decisions to remove violations occurring on state treasury lands in Jericho and the Jordan Valley (one case), Ramallah and Al-Bireh (one case), and Nablus (five cases), as part of ongoing efforts to protect and preserve state property.
The committee affirmed at the end of its meeting the importance of continuing coordination and integration among the relevant official entities, and maintaining joint work to follow up on encroachment files, enhancing the rule of law and safeguarding public funds.
