Ramallah and al-Bireh Forces Demand the Government to Declare Eastern Rural Areas as First-Class Development Zones

SadaNews - The national and Islamic forces of Ramallah and al-Bireh stated on Saturday that the escalating crimes of the occupation against the Palestinians are part of the ongoing annexation and Judaization plan, which aims to impose facts on the ground and ethnically cleanse it.

The statement from the forces said: "The targeting of villages, towns, and refugee camps and the expansion of settlers' assaults as occurring daily in al-Mghayer, Turmusaya, Kafr Malek, Abu Falah, Sinjil, and the eastern line villages of the governorate, is further evidence of the intensification of the attack on our people, including closures, collective punishment, land confiscation, and house demolitions that aim to paralyze the means of living and force our people to leave."

The forces commemorated the martyr, 14-year-old child Mohammed Naasan, a new victim of the occupation and its settlers, as the attack on the villages and towns across the West Bank and Jerusalem expands, continuing the open extermination war against the Gaza Strip, as stated.

They emphasized the necessity of "working on a comprehensive national plan within this framework," demanding the government to take immediate measures to support the targeted villages and towns, enhance the resilience of citizens on their land, and consider them as first-class development areas. They called for providing a safety net for them, including in the education, health, agriculture, and various services sectors, such as tax exemptions for farmers and putting necessary plans in place to confront the displacement and forced eviction of Palestinians.

They affirmed that "passing the death penalty law for prisoners is a new confirmation of targeting our female and male prisoners; this is a racist law that targets the legitimacy of national struggle, which requires the broadest campaigns and popular and official movements to overthrow it in support of the prisoners' movement and what they suffer in prisons and detention centers," according to their statement.

They also affirmed "our people's right to its legitimate struggle to achieve its complete and unqualified rights to return, self-determination, and national independence in a fully sovereign state with Jerusalem as its capital."

They called for addressing the salaries and allowances file for the families of martyrs, the injured, and prisoners in a manner that preserves their material and moral rights and protects this struggling segment of society.

They also called for "regardless of the ongoing debate over the formation of the administrative committee in Gaza, for the highest degree of internal unity and cohesion on the basis that we are in a national liberation phase, and the relationship is one of a people under occupation with an occupying enemy that has usurped our land and resources. They urged activating popular action tools against the occupation and working on the legal track so that the war crimes it practices do not go unpunished, while countering the risks posed by the formation of this committee within a national consensus that safeguards the geographic and political linkage between the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and stops the bloodshed of our people by halting the extermination against them, achieving the withdrawal of the occupation from the Strip, and allowing the entry of aid and relief supplies according to the ceasefire agreement signed on 11-10, which would alleviate the suffering in Gaza. They also called for international parties, led by the United States, to fully assume their responsibilities, as the U.S. has fully adopted the positions of the occupying government and tries to promote its proposals aimed at liquidating our people’s national cause, which will fail against the steadfastness and struggle of the Palestinian people," the statement concludes.
