Jerusalem: Rescue of a Man and Woman Trapped by Floodwaters Inside a Vehicle in Abu Ghosh
SadaNews - Fire and rescue crews rescued a man and a woman this morning, Tuesday, after floodwaters trapped their vehicle in the town of Abu Ghosh near Jerusalem, due to flooding in the area.
The Fire and Rescue Authority reported that "Emergency Center 102 received a call from the driver of the trapped vehicle, who confirmed that the water had risen to the level of the vehicle's windows, preventing them from exiting or opening the doors. Immediately, rescue teams arrived at the scene and began a complex rescue operation in challenging field conditions."
It added that "the firefighters were able to safely free the man and woman from inside the vehicle, but the woman lost consciousness immediately after being rescued. A paramedic from the fire brigade provided life-saving first aid at the scene before she was transported by 'Magen David Adom' teams to the hospital for further treatment."
