After being lured... 16-year-old boy killed in Nazareth

SadaNews - A 16-year-old boy, Azmi Gharib, was killed last night, Saturday, due to a shooting crime in the Bilal neighborhood of Nazareth, bringing the death toll in the Arab community to 14 within 10 days.

According to the information received, the victim received a phone call from someone who asked him to leave the house, and after he did so, he was shot, leading to his death.

The victim was transported by car to the Italian hospital in the city, where the medical staff pronounced him dead after attempts to save his life failed.

The occupying police claimed that they have begun an investigation into the circumstances of the crime, which remain unclear; they have not announced any arrests of suspects.

14 killed in 10 days

Murder and violence in the Arab community continue to escalate, with 14 murders recorded since the beginning of this year and within a week, a toll that does not include the victims of police-related crimes, including young Sham Shami from Ibtin, young Muhammad Hussein Tarabin from Tarabin al-Sana, and young Sharif Hadeed from Daliat al-Karmel, who was shot by a soldier on Highway 6.

Hours before this crime, young Ahmad Muayyad Jbarin from Umm al-Fahm died from his injuries after being shot two months ago, and Karam Sawad (30 years old) from Sha'ab was found dead in nearby forests after being killed, while hours before that a triple murder occurred in the same city, resulting in the deaths of Kamal Hajirat (55), Yasser Hajirat (53), and Khaled Ghdeir (62) from Bir al-Maksur.

Among the crime victims since the beginning of the year are also medical student Mahmoud Jaser Abu Arar from Ara'arah in the Negev, young Adi Saqr Abu Ammar from al-Lakiya, young Bakr Mahmoud Yasin, young Mahmoud Ghawi from Kafr Qara, and Adham Nusar along with his son, young Nazeem Nusar (16 years old) from Tar'aan. Additionally, Abdul Rahman Imad al-Abrah from Ramla, who died earlier this year from wounds sustained in a stabbing incident that occurred about two weeks prior to his death, and elderly Muhammad Musa Khawald (70 years old), who died earlier this month from injuries sustained in a crime committed in late December 2025.
