Rahat: Awad Abu Freih Elected as Chair of the Popular Committee

SadaNews - A organizational meeting was held in the city of Rahat to establish the popular committee, initiated by the initiative committee stemming from the coalition, with participation from local and national lists, and representatives from active community associations and frameworks, yesterday Saturday.

The session was opened by Musa Al-Quraini, the coordinator for establishing the popular committee, who emphasized the importance of unifying efforts to confront the challenges facing the community in the Negev, primarily issues of violence and housing.

The meeting was characterized by a spirit of unity, where nominations for the chairmanship of the committee were opened, and a democratic election was held resulting in the election of Dr. Awad Abu Freih as the chair of the popular committee by a majority vote.

The initiative committee affirmed its commitment to continuing the work to build active committees that address community issues, appreciating the participation of all forces and parties in this endeavor.
