A Citizen Martyrdom by the Occupation Police's Bullets in Tarabin al-Sana'a
SadaNews - A citizen from the village of Tarabin al-Sana'a was martyred by bullets from the Israeli occupation police during their storming of the village in the Negev region, while it was reported that the police imposed a cordon around the village fearing confrontations following the crime.
This crime comes amid the ongoing campaign of the occupation police, which has been carrying out arrests, raids, issuing violations, and demolition orders against the villagers for about two weeks, not to mention several incursions and provocative rounds conducted by the extremist National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.
In the aftermath, Ben Gvir rushed to announce his "full support" for the police officers, claiming that "anyone who endangers police officers and our fighters must be neutralized, and it is good that what happened was so. The days when police officers were harmed and put in danger without retaliation are over."
He added that "the police will continue to act against lawbreakers and criminals, to impose sovereignty in the Negev and throughout the State of Israel."
This comes hours after thousands of residents from the Negev and the Arab community demonstrated in the village of Tarabin al-Sana'a in protest against the siege and incursions by Ben Gvir and the police forces.
The village of Tarabin al-Sana'a has been under a siege imposed by the Israeli police for about two weeks under the pretext of "imposing sovereignty and law," while Ben Gvir has stormed it and conducted provocative rounds for the residents three times over the past week.
Residents of the village believe that these incursions aim to inflame conditions and provoke residents, serving political and electoral goals for Ben Gvir.
The police arrested dozens of citizens, imposed dozens of traffic violations, and issued demolition orders in the village as part of a process they dubbed "a new system."
They threatened to continue their intensive operations and to deal with "an iron fist" against what they described as "acts of violence and disruption of order," at a time when tensions in the area are increasing amid accusations against the security forces of practicing collective punishment against the residents.
The police claim that "suspects" from Tarabin al-Sana'a carried out assaults and burned and vandalized dozens of vehicles in nearby Jewish towns in retaliation for the incursion into the village and the arrests conducted there.
