Repeated Warnings with No Effect

Despite the warnings from the "National Road Safety Authority" and emergency sessions held in the Knesset's Economy Committee, no tangible steps have been taken to stop accidents on the roads to this day.

The authority warned that by the end of 2025, "we might reach over 500 fatalities, and they will call that success!".

The authority urged drivers to "change our negative habits on the roads! Adhere to the laws enacted to protect us, treat pedestrians as our family members and give them the right of way, consider seat belts as protection for us, and understand that focusing while driving is a necessity and to put down the phone. This is an opportunity to realize that arriving safely is more important than arriving quickly."
