A Young Man from Ialut Charged with Blackmailing and Threatening Relatives of a Shooting Victim in Ein Mahil in Occupied Territory

SadaNews - The public prosecution in the northern district has filed an indictment against a 25-year-old young man from Ialut, charged with blackmail and threats against several individuals, including the father of a young man who sustained serious injuries from a shooting in Ein Mahil on October 20, 2025.

According to a statement from the occupying police this morning, investigations revealed that the defendant contacted the victims and demanded money under threat, warning of harming their relatives in case of refusal. The threats also included two other individuals connected to the victim.

The defendant was arrested on November 3, 2025, while he was in the hospital after being injured in another shooting incident linked to a criminal dispute.

An indictment was presented against the defendant at the central court in Nazareth, with a request to extend his detention until the completion of the judicial proceedings against him.
