50,000 Perform Friday Prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque
SadaNews - Tens of thousands performed Friday prayer today at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, gathering since the early morning hours despite the cold and the strict military measures imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities on access to Al-Aqsa.
The Islamic Waqf Department reported that 50,000 worshippers performed Friday prayer at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, noting their arrival since the early morning hours from various areas of Jerusalem and inside Palestine, despite the barriers and searches that citizens faced at the mosque gates.
The occupation forces continue to impose strict restrictions on the entry of worshippers to Al-Aqsa Mosque, especially during Fridays.
The occupation authorities deny thousands of citizens from the West Bank provinces the opportunity to reach Jerusalem to perform prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque, where they require special permits to cross their military barriers that surround the holy city.
