Death of a Young Man and Injury of Another in a Traffic Accident in the Town of Turaan in the Occupied Territories
SadaNews - Young man Imad Bakara (32 years old) was killed, and another was moderately injured early Wednesday morning due to a shooting incident in the town of Turaan.
This incident marks the second crime within less than 12 hours, as on Tuesday evening, young man Muhammad Abdul Rahman Ighbaria from the town of Mismas was killed, and another young man was critically injured in a shooting that occurred in the village of Al-Bayyadah in the Wadi Ara area. The victims were in their early twenties.
Less than 12 hours later, emergency teams received a report about injured individuals in the town of Turaan, and a medical team rushed to the site immediately. They pronounced a young man dead due to his critical injuries after he was transported to the hospital, and the doctors failed to save his life.
The team also provided first aid to another young man before he was transferred to the hospital in a condition described as between moderate and serious, to continue receiving treatment.
The occupying police claimed that they opened an investigation into the circumstances of the crime that took place in a store without announcing any arrests, nor did they specify the motive and reasons for the crime.
242 Arab Fatalities Since the Beginning of the Year
With this crime, the death toll in the Arab community since the beginning of the year rises to 242 fatalities, amidst a serious and ongoing escalation of violence and organized crime, alongside police complicity and negligence in fulfilling their role in combating crime and providing security and safety for Arab citizens.
Data indicates that more than 192 people were shot dead, with over 120 of the victims being under the age of thirty, including seven young boys and children who have not yet reached the age of 18, and 23 women. There were also 13 recorded cases of killings by the occupying police.
These shocking figures reflect the magnitude of the crime escalation in the Arab community, in light of the Israeli police's complicity and negligence in carrying out their duties to combat crime and hold criminals accountable.
