Al-Saqa Participates in the 49th Conference of Arab Police and Security Leaders in Tunisia
SadaNews - Major General Allam Al-Saqa, the Director General of the Police, participated in the works of the 49th Conference of Arab Police and Security Leaders, which was inaugurated today, Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunisia, under the patronage of His Excellency President of the Tunisian Republic Kais Saied. The conference was opened by the Minister of the Interior, Mr. Khaled Al-Nouri, in the presence of several heads and members of the Arab diplomatic missions accredited in Tunisia, as well as leaders and representatives of international, regional, and Arab organizations and bodies like the International Criminal Police Organization "INTERPOL", the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, and heads of delegations and leaders of Arab police and security forces, along with their companions.
The Minister of the Interior confirmed during his speech at the event the attention that Tunisia gives to all initiatives that support the bonds of cooperation and enhance mechanisms for joint Arab security work, indicating that this conference is a renewed opportunity to unify efforts and coordinate them to exchange views and formulate positions regarding current issues serving the interests of our Arab peoples, ensuring their security, stability, and territorial unity.
The state of Palestine was represented at this important security event by an official delegation headed by Major General Allam Al-Saqa, accompanied by Colonel Lawyer Laith Zidan, Assistant Director General of Police for the Police General Office, and Colonel Dr. Mahmoud Salah Al-Din, Director of INTERPOL Management.
On the sidelines of the conference, Major General Al-Saqa held a series of bilateral meetings with senior Arab security leaders, including: Lieutenant General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, Director of Public Security in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Major General Mohammed Jassim Al-Sulaiti, Director General of Public Security in Qatar; Major General Sherif Raouf, Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Sector in the Arab Republic of Egypt; Mr. Ali Badawi, Director General of National Security in Algeria; Major General Abdullah bin Ali Al-Harithi, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations in the Sultanate of Oman; and Major General Mubarak Fahd Al-Rasheedi, Head of Border Security and Coast Guard Affairs in Kuwait.
During these meetings, Major General Al-Saqa informed his Arab counterparts about the exceptional conditions under which the Palestinian police operate and the field and professional challenges they face in order to provide better security and police services for our people and to enhance the rule of law.
He also discussed ways to develop Arab police cooperation, exchange experiences, and expand areas of coordination in training, combating crime, and enhancing internal security in Arab countries, serving the security of Arab peoples and protecting their stability, while limiting the risks facing the region.
Major General Al-Saqa emphasized the commitment of the Palestinian police to work jointly with Arab security agencies and to support efforts aimed at enhancing the comprehensive Arab security system and achieving safety and security for the Arab citizen everywhere.
