Negev: Man Killed and Another Injured in Shooting Incident in Tel Sheva
SadaNews - A man in his forties was killed this morning, Wednesday, due to a shooting incident that occurred in the town of Tel Sheva in the Negev, while a 19-year-old young man sustained minor injuries.
The occupation police claimed they have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the crime, without announcing any arrests as of now.
19 Deaths So Far This Month
There have been 19 murders in the Arab community since the beginning of November.
The victims, in addition to the crime in Tel Sheva, include: Sami Maghrabi from Ramla killed in Turkey, Sabah Abu Al-Qi'an from Jatt, Basel Farouni from Nazareth, Ashraf and Abdullah Abu Mdeigham from Rahat, Maytham Zyoud from Mismas, Yusuf Al-Atrash from Ramla, Tahalil Amer from Kfar Qassem, Mohammad Khalaila from Majd al-Krum, Saleh Abed Sulaibi from Nazareth, Amir Al-Wahwah from Lod, Hussein Samouni from Jaffa, siblings Mohammad and Walid Maghrabi from Ramla, Murad Youssef from Haifa, Abdul Fattah Sabihāt from Salem, and Amin Ighbariya from Umm al-Fahm.
235 Arab Deaths Since the Beginning of the Year
This comes amidst a dangerous and unprecedented rise in murder and violence within the Arab community, which has resulted in the deaths of 235 people since the beginning of the year until today, amid complicity and negligence by the police in performing their role in combating crime and ensuring the security and safety of Arab citizens.
Data indicates that more than 191 people were killed by gunfire, while 117 of the victims were under the age of thirty, including six boys and children under the age of 18, and 21 women. There were also 13 recorded killings by the police.
These shocking numbers reflect the scale of crime escalation in the Arab community, amid the complicity of the Israeli occupation police and their negligence in performing their role in combating crime and holding criminals accountable.
