The Occupation Sets Up Barriers in Silwan and Sheikh Jarrah in Jerusalem
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces set up military checkpoints today, Monday, in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and the town of Silwan in occupied Jerusalem.
Local sources indicated that the occupation set up a checkpoint in the Rababah neighborhood in Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, detaining two young men and searching several vehicles at the checkpoint. Meanwhile, occupation soldiers erected another checkpoint in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, stopping and searching vehicles, hindering the movement of citizens.
It is noteworthy that the occupation forces are escalating their restrictions on roads between Palestinian cities in the West Bank, amidst repeated closures of checkpoints which disrupt Palestinians from reaching their jobs and educational institutions.
