Al-Ahmad Officially Assumes Duties as Minister of Transportation and Communications

SadaNews - The Ministry of Transportation and Communications headquarters in Ramallah witnessed today the handover and takeover ceremony of the ministerial portfolio, in execution of the decree issued by His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas "Abu Mazen", President of the State of Palestine and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, dated November 13, 2025, which stipulated the amendment of the formation of the nineteenth Palestinian government and the appointment of Dr. Mohamed Farouk Zaki Al-Ahmad as Minister of Transportation and Communications, based on a decision by law granting him confidence as Minister for the nineteenth government, and in accordance with the recommendation of the Cabinet issued on November 9, 2025.

The handover and takeover ceremony took place between Eng. Ahed Faik Bseiso, Minister of Public Works and Housing and previously assigned to manage the affairs of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, and Dr. Mohamed Farouk Zaki Al-Ahmad, who officially assumed his duties immediately after the ceremony, with the presence of the Deputy Minister and a team from the ministry, in an official atmosphere that reflected the ministry's commitment to ensuring the continuity of institutional work and the smooth transfer of tasks and authorities in accordance with existing regulations and procedures.

The handover and takeover procedures included the signing of a document to transfer all files, documents, plans, and administrative, financial, and technical commitments of the ministry, ensuring the continued workflow without obstacles, and enhancing the quality of services provided to the transportation and communications sector in the State of Palestine.
