Head of the Bar Association to "SadaNews": The repeated targeting of a lawyer is a serious crime that we are following up with the relevant authorities
SadaNews - The head of the Bar Association, Fadi Abbas, stated on Saturday that the association is following up with the relevant authorities regarding the repeated attack within 24 hours on lawyer Fares Shraab, who was shot at in front of his home after his vehicle was burned.
Abbas described this repeated crime to "SadaNews" as serious, confirming that what occurred is a dangerous behavior and indicator that necessitates strict action from the relevant authorities, and all circumstances for tightening the response to such a crime are present; because the indicators of the nature of the repeated assaults stem from legal representation at the judiciary.
He added: Those who carry out this assault are effectively attacking the judiciary and the citizens' right to resort to the judiciary, aiming to undermine societal stability and striking at the core of the principle of the rule of law.
He continued: Law enforcement authorities must deal with the matter with utmost seriousness and rigor to ensure that the perpetrators do not escape punishment and to achieve the necessary public deterrence.
