70,000 Perform Friday Prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque
SadaNews - Tens of thousands of Palestinians performed the Friday prayer at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the restrictions and intensifications of the Israeli occupation, which prevented dozens of young men from reaching it.
The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem reported that over 70,000 worshippers performed the Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa, in remembrance of the souls of the martyrs from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
The occupation forces imposed significant restrictions and limitations on the access of worshippers to the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque, preventing dozens of young men from attending Friday prayers at the mosque, after stopping them and checking their identities.
The forces set up checkpoints at the Gate of the Tribes, hindering citizens' access to Al-Aqsa Mosque coinciding with the Friday prayers.
