RVF Foundation Resumes Activities in Gaza City and North to Provide Residents with Drinking Water

SadaNews - The Rostropovich Vishnevskaya International Foundation (RVF) has resumed its activities in Gaza City and the northern region after the return of displaced persons, aiming to provide residents with potable water amid the severe shortage faced by tens of thousands of families who have recently returned to some of these areas. The foundation continues its operations in other governorates in the central and southern Gaza Strip, offering services to hundreds of thousands of residents who have been deprived by the war of their most basic rights to life.

The foundation has restored more than 3 stations in Gaza City over the past few days that were damaged due to the renewed Israeli aggression before the recent ceasefire. However, the ongoing situation still prevents the foundation from restoring more stations located in the northern region of the Strip.

The foundation owns more than 13 stations distributed across various governorates of the Gaza Strip, offering a production capacity of 25 to 200 cups of drinking water daily, which have been distributed based on the needs of the residents. The foundation is also working to increase the number of stations in other areas of Gaza City and the northern region in the coming period, as well as in other areas across various governorates that are facing a severe crisis in the availability of potable water.

More than half a million Palestinians from Gaza City have returned to some shelters and what remains of their schools after they were forced to flee under the bombardment and aggression before the ceasefire.

The foundation's projects are implemented with generous support from the United Arab Emirates, alongside the tremendous efforts of the foundation, which is working to provide the necessary supplies for desalination stations and solar energy amid the lack of sustainable energy in the Strip following the destruction of infrastructure by the Israeli occupation, and the urgent need of residents for the availability of water wells, as well as potable water.

The foundation, with its full technical and engineering staff consisting of 23 engineers and specialists, strives to maintain the quality of this work. The foundation aims, along with the residents of the Gaza Strip, to increase support for this organization to sustain the important services it provides to the population.

Additionally, the foundation seeks to provide desalinated water according to international standards for kidney patients in various regions, who benefit from it just like other residents of the Gaza Strip facing the risks of various diseases.
