The Supreme Judicial Council Launches Electronic Judicial Notifications Service via SMS
SadaNews - The Supreme Judicial Council launched today, Wednesday, the electronic judicial notification service via short text messages "SMS", based on the Electronic Judicial Notifications System No. "8" of the year 2025, which was published in the official gazette on September 28, 2025.
The council stated in a press release that through this service, the general public or parties to lawsuits who need to be notified to appear before the regular courts will be able to receive their notifications via text messages, as an alternative or complement to traditional "paper" notifications.
It pointed out that the launch of this system comes as part of the digital transformation in the Palestinian judiciary, and the judicial authority's efforts to reduce the duration of litigation and expedite the resolution of cases.
The council also highlighted that this system for the courts will allow for the electronic tracking of notification status and ensure that notifications reach citizens in a documented and secure manner. This step represents a qualitative leap in the development of digital justice, aimed at overcoming the challenges associated with traditional "paper" notification mechanisms, especially in areas that are difficult to access, thereby facilitating citizens' access to justice quickly and efficiently.
