The Galilee Association Concludes Its Annual Meeting with the Re-election of the Administrative Body and a Comprehensive Review of Projects

SadaNews - The Galilee Association - the Arab-Qatari Association for Research and Health Services - held its 43rd annual meeting at the association's conference hall in the city of Shfaram.

The meeting witnessed a remarkable attendance from members of the general assembly, who gathered to discuss the various activities of the association and elect a new administrative body to lead the association in the coming phase.

The session was opened by the chairman of the administrative body, Dr. Abdul Salam Masalha, who welcomed the attendees, outlining the pivotal role played by the Galilee Association and its substantial contributions to enhancing the Arab civil society sector in Israel.

Dr. Masalha noted that the association has taken a pioneering and decisive role in enhancing human capacities and building partnerships and strategic projects that culminated in the establishment of several civil institutions tailored to meet community needs.

The chairman also addressed the course of developing the future strategy that the association is currently working on, emphasizing the importance of fruitful cooperation to ensure the success of this plan, which serves the interests of the community and contributes to the development of the association.

In closing his speech, Dr. Masalha praised the active role played by the members of the association, the administration, and the staff in achieving the association's goals and serving their community.

Following that, Dr. Rosalind Da'im, a member of the administrative body, took over the session, welcoming everyone and praising the efforts of the association's teams and its administrative bodies over 43 years of continuous giving. She highlighted the significance of the accomplishments achieved by the association throughout its long journey and its vital role in serving the community and promoting values of justice and rights.

The meeting also included a comprehensive review of a diverse array of projects and research activities carried out by the association during 2024.

This presentation was led by Ahmad Sheikh Muhammad, the general director of the Galilee Association, who highlighted the institution's strategic vision focused on enhancing the latent capacities within the Palestinian community and investing in them, both individually and collectively, to develop the community in scientific, educational, environmental, health, social, and economic fields.

During the session, Ibrahim Naoum - Abu Mabdi was honored in appreciation of his cultural and community contributions, on the occasion of the release of his book titled: "The Shfarmi Farmer, Son of a Farmer," which is considered a valuable contribution to documentation in the Arab community.

In his speech, Abu Mabdi expressed his gratitude to the association's administration for this honor, affirming that "supporting research and scientific institutions for creators and researchers is an investment in awareness and knowledge, and a reinforcement of the development journey in our Arab community."

The meeting included a presentation of the financial report for 2024 by the external auditor represented by the accountant Amir Sheikh from Ernst & Young, as well as the report from the internal auditor presented by the accountant Osama Hassan, both of which were approved.

The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of continuing collective work and expanding areas of cooperation between researchers and the local community, which enhances the association's role in serving science and society.

At the end of the meeting, the members of the administrative body of the Galilee Association were re-elected, reaffirming the continuity of work and giving in the association's journey.
