Qassem: As Long as Our Villages Are Bombed and Our People Are Killed, Northern Israel Will Not Be Safe
SadaNews - The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naeem Qassem, emphasized that the continued bombing of Lebanese villages and the killing of civilians will be met with a direct response, asserting that northern Israel will not enjoy safety as long as the aggression continues.
Qassem stated that any attempt to make the disarmament of the resistance a prerequisite for any agreement means "the execution of Lebanon's strength," indicating that the security track under the pretext of a ceasefire cannot equate to surrender or defeat for the party.
He added that the ceasefire must be comprehensive, with no fragmentation between the south and the rest of the Lebanese regions.
He also held the Lebanese authority responsible for addressing the internal division resulting from its political choices, rejecting any linkage between the existence of the resistance and the cessation of aggression or the withdrawal of Israel.
He criticized what he described as a "farce and insult" in the direct negotiations, affirming that the party is only concerned with ending the comprehensive aggression and the withdrawal of Israel.
Qassem concluded by stating that the party has not made any commitment to any party not to resist the aggression or respond to it, stressing that the confrontation will continue by all available means.
