Al-Hayya Receives a Phone Call from Araqchi and They Discuss the Latest Developments

SadaNews - Khalil Al-Hayya, the head of Hamas in Gaza, received a phone call from Abbas Araqchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, this Thursday afternoon, during which they discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian file and the region, exchanging views on the matter.

During the call, Al-Hayya once again offered his condolences for the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and several leaders and officials of the republic following the recent American and Zionist aggression, commending the republic's success in thwarting the objectives of the aggression, according to a statement from Hamas.

Al-Hayya reviewed the latest developments in occupied Palestine, particularly in the Gaza Strip, amid the ongoing occupation assaults and its obstruction of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement.

He affirmed the steadfast position of the resistance factions and the Palestinian people in continuing to endure until the Palestinian national goals are achieved, especially stopping the assaults and ending the occupation.

Al-Hayya also praised the position of the Iranian negotiating delegation, which stressed the necessity of a simultaneous cessation of the war on all fronts in the region, expressing his appreciation and gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its support and assistance for the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people.

For his part, the Iranian Foreign Minister renewed his condolences to Al-Hayya for the martyrdom of his son and several resistance leaders in Gaza, praising the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and the Palestinian resistance factions in the face of the brutal assaults of the Zionist entity, according to the Hamas statement.

Araqchi also reviewed the latest efforts and measures taken by the Islamic Republic of Iran to stop the war in the region, affirming the continuation of the principled policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting the legitimate resistance of the peoples of the region, especially in Palestine and Lebanon, in the face of occupation and Zionist assaults, according to the statement.
