Police: 24,000 Travelers Crossed Through the Karama Crossing Last Week
SadaNews - More than 24,000 citizens and visitors crossed through the Karama Crossing during the past week, while the police apprehended 57 individuals wanted by the judiciary.
The number of departures during the week reached (12,599) individuals, while the number of incoming travelers was (12,231), and the movement of travelers was moderate.
During the same period, the police arrested (57) individuals wanted by the judiciary and banned from traveling, either while attempting to leave through the crossing or while waiting for their arrival upon entering Palestinian territories. They are wanted in cases filed before the courts and the public prosecutor.
The police, along with all security and civil agencies in the General Administration of Crossings and Borders, provided many facilitations and services to all citizens, including coordination for (6) medical cases for travel between the two sides of the crossing in Palestinian ambulances.
