Galilee: Young Man Killed by Israeli Occupation Police Gunfire
SadaNews - Young man Amir Baqa'i was killed last night, Monday, in the town of Kabul in the Galilee, by gunfire from the Israeli occupation police, while another man sustained moderate injuries as a result of being shot.
Ambulance crews reported that they received a notification at 20:16 about an "incident of violence in Kabul," and provided medical treatment to the injured who were taken to hospitals.
According to local sources, the police fired at a young man in the street, causing him serious injuries, while another man was injured in the foot during the incident.
195 Arab Fatalities Since the Beginning of the Year
With this crime, the toll of murder victims since the beginning of the year rises to 195, including 20 women, at a time when Arab society is witnessing a dangerous escalation and a breakdown in murder and violence rates.
Data indicates that 165 people were killed by gunfire, with 100 of the victims under the age of thirty, including three children who had not yet turned eighteen. Moreover, 10 murder cases were recorded as perpetrated by the police.
These shocking figures reflect the extent of escalating violence and crime in Arab society, in light of the complicity of the Israeli police and their failure to fulfill their role in combating crime and holding criminals accountable.
This crime comes just hours after another murder in Arab society, where a young man was killed in a shooting incident in the city of Rahat in the Negev, heightening concerns amid escalating violence and the continuation of the chaos of weapons and the absence of deterrence.
