"Higher Education": Nine Palestinian Research Projects Win at the International Synchrotron Radiation Center for Experimental Sciences in the Middle East

SadaNews - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced today, Monday, that Palestine has won nine research projects for the year 2025 as part of the eighth and ninth research calls at the International Synchrotron Radiation Center for Experimental Sciences and Applications in the Middle East, which is the first global center of excellence in scientific research in the region, located in Jordan.

The projects were submitted with the participation of An-Najah National University, Palestine Technical University "Khadouri", and Hebron University.

Minister of Education and Higher Education Amjad Barham confirmed that this achievement reflects Palestine's growing scientific presence at both the regional and international levels, highlighting the efficiency of Palestinian researchers and their ability to actively contribute to high-quality research projects. He pointed out that this success enhances Palestine's position in international cooperation networks and contributes to the transfer of knowledge and modern technology.

Barham stated that this win elevates the scientific status of Palestine and opens new horizons for researchers, commending the efforts exerted by Palestinian universities in developing scientific research and engaging in international projects.

The minister added that the project, hosted by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, includes eight member countries, among them Palestine as a founding member, as well as several observing countries and institutions such as Brazil, Canada, China, the European Union, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and the European Organization for Nuclear Research.
