"Local Governance" Condemns the Arrest of the Occupation of the Head and Members of the Hajjah Village Council
SadaNews - The Ministry of Local Governance condemned the arrest by Israeli occupation forces today, Saturday, of Amjad Bsalat, the head of the Hajjah village council east of Qalqilia, and council members Abdullah Hajjawi, Omar Musallaha, and treasurer Hamdan Rabea.
The ministry stated that this arrest is considered arbitrary behavior and a systematic targeting of local bodies, their heads, members, and workers, and an attempt to undermine their vital role in serving citizens and enhancing their resilience in the face of the occupation's policies and plans.
It emphasized that the increasing pace of the occupation's violations and its racist practices will not succeed in deterring our national local bodies from fulfilling their national and humanitarian duties towards our people, but rather will increase their determination to continue performing their roles and providing basic services to citizens and ensuring their access to them, thereby enhancing their resilience and steadfastness in their lands regardless of the challenges faced.
