
The Attorney General and the Minister of Labor Launch a Guide for Vocational Training Procedures for Children and Adolescents
SadaNews - Today, Thursday, Attorney General Counselor Akram Al-Khateeb and Minister of Labor Dr. Enas Al-Atari signed a document to prepare a guide for vocational training for children and adolescents in accordance with legal procedures, during a meeting held at the Attorney General's office in Ramallah, with support from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.
The guide targets male and female adolescents aged between fifteen and eighteen, who are included in juvenile mediation procedures and have been enrolled in vocational training programs by the Juvenile Protection Prosecution, in addition to children exploited in illegal work (child labor), classified as at-risk or vulnerable to delinquency, and those who have been subject to protective measures. The guide also includes parents supporting their children in their educational and career paths, trainers providing technical and professional support, as well as related educational and training institutions, and opens the door for effective partnership with civil society organizations.
For his part, the Attorney General emphasized that preparing the vocational training guide for children and adolescents is an important step towards protecting this group and promoting their rights, by providing them with vocational training opportunities that align with legal procedures and standards of justice.
He noted that the guide reflects the commitment of the Public Prosecution and its partners to empower children and adolescents and integrate them into safe educational and professional pathways that contribute to building their future and protecting them from the risks of delinquency.
For her part, Minister of Labor Dr. Enas Al-Atari thanked the Attorney General for this constructive collaboration, affirming that preparing this guide reflects a strategic partnership between the Ministry of Labor, the Public Prosecution, and civil society organizations.
She indicated that the guide serves as a practical reference that helps organize the vocational training process for children and adolescents, enhancing their opportunities for integration into the labor market in the future, ensuring their protection, safeguarding their rights, and enabling them to build safe career pathways that meet the needs of society and the Palestinian labor market.
