A Delegation from the Palestinian Association Visits the Jordanian Military Consumer Institution and Discusses Prospects for Joint Cooperation

SadaNews - A delegation from the Palestinian Cooperative Consumer Association for Public Employees, headed by Bassam Zakarneh and including Dr. Faisal Al-Attari, the treasurer, visited the Jordanian Military Consumer Institution, where they were welcomed by the General Director of the institution, Brigadier General Mohammad Al-Hadid, along with the institution's leadership and administrative staff.

Al-Hadid welcomed the visiting delegation, providing a detailed explanation of the Jordanian Military Consumer Institution's experience, which is considered a pioneering model in providing basic commodities of high quality at fair prices that serve Jordanian citizens and members of the armed forces and security services.

In turn, Bassam Zakarneh, the President of the Cooperative Association for Public Employees, appreciated the warm welcome, emphasizing his pride in "the fraternal relations that link the two brotherly peoples, the Palestinian and the Jordanian," and extending thanks and appreciation to King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, the Supreme Commander of the Jordanian Armed Forces, for his continued support for the Palestinian people and their just cause, as well as to Ambassador Issam Al-Badour, the Ambassador of the Kingdom to Palestine, for his efforts in enhancing cooperation between the two institutions.

Zakarneh pointed out that the Palestinian Association aims to alleviate the economic and living burdens on public employees through a consumer system that provides goods at subsidized prices and in partnership with the private sector, indicating that the success of the Jordanian Military Consumer Institution represents a rich experience that can be benefited from in Palestine.

Zakarneh also proposed areas for joint cooperation, most notably: training and exchange of expertise, inspecting branch and inventory management systems, developing procurement and purchasing mechanisms, and benefiting from the Jordanian institution's experience in price control and market stability.

He affirmed that this visit marks the beginning of a true and sustainable partnership between the two institutions that enhances the resilience of the Palestinian employee and protects their consumer rights.

At the end of the visit, the delegation was accompanied by Brigadier General Abdul Karim Al-Adwan on a field tour of one of the institution's branches in the capital, Amman, where he provided them with a detailed explanation of the work mechanism and management of branches and inventory.
