Arrest of Two Palestinians from Shaab and Wadi Salama on Charges of Incitement
SadaNews - Israeli occupation police arrested two bus drivers from Shaab and Wadi Salama on suspicion of incitement after discussions and the sharing of symbolic "emoji" images on the WhatsApp application following the shooting incident that took place in Jerusalem last Monday morning.
The occupation police stated that they "received a report, gathered evidence on it, and decided that there are suspicions of committing incitement offenses, including expressing public support for a terrorist organization and inciting a terrorist act," as stated in their announcement.
The first driver, a 31-year-old resident of Shaab, was arrested and his detention was extended until 14.09.25. Last night, the second driver, a 25-year-old resident of Wadi Salama, was arrested, and it is expected that the police will request to extend his detention this morning.
It is worth mentioning that six settlers were killed, and 11 others were injured, including six in critical condition, due to a shooting incident that occurred at the "Ramot" junction in occupied Jerusalem, which resulted in the death of its perpetrators who arrived by car and opened fire at the settlers at a bus stop on Monday morning.
