Hamas: We Are Ready Immediately for the Negotiation Table and Welcome Any Move to Stop the Aggression

SadaNews - Hamas stated in a statement: "We have received some ideas from the American side through intermediaries, aimed at reaching a ceasefire agreement. On this occasion, Hamas welcomes any move that helps in the efforts to stop the aggression against our people." Hamas emphasized that it "is immediately ready to sit at the negotiation table to discuss the release of all prisoners in exchange for a clear declaration to end the war, a complete withdrawal from the sector, and the formation of a committee to manage the Gaza Strip composed of Palestinian independents, which will start its work immediately." It added that this should be accompanied by "a guarantee of the enemy's commitment, in a public and explicit manner, to what will be agreed upon, to prevent the previous experiences where agreements were reached only to be rejected or overturned; the most recent of which was the agreement presented to the movement by the intermediaries based on an American proposal, which the movement agreed to in Cairo on 18/8/2025, and which the occupation has yet to respond to, continuing its massacres and ethnic cleansing." Hamas stressed that "the movement is in continuous contact with the intermediaries to develop these ideas into a comprehensive agreement that meets the needs of our people." According to what the newspaper "Haaretz" reported, a source close to Netanyahu stated that the new proposal "has not been conveyed to Israel in an organized manner yet (officially)." The same source, whose name was not mentioned by the newspaper, said, "The proposal has been conveyed to Hamas, and we do not know its wording," adding, "When we receive a proposal, we will know how to respond to it." The newspaper also quoted another Israeli official described as high-level, stating that "this proposal is merely one of several initiatives that have been pushed between the two parties in recent weeks, as part of an attempt to reach a compromise." Additionally, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier stated on Sunday that the occupation army "is deepening its incursion into the outskirts and inside the city of Gaza"; claiming that around "100,000 people have left the city." He added, "We are eliminating terrorist infrastructures and demolishing towers classified as terrorist towers, and we have established a new humanitarian area to enable civilians to move to safety and receive aid." Netanyahu claimed at the start of the government session that Hamas "is making every effort to prevent Gazans from leaving," adding, "They want them to stay there to be a human shield. They will not hesitate to use any means."
