Occupation replaces the designation of "Al-Buraq Wall" on Jerusalem buses
SadaNews - Under pressure from extremist Temple organizations, the Israeli occupation authorities today, Sunday, replaced the official designation of the Al-Buraq Wall (the western wall of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque) with "The Wailing Wall" on the public buses operating in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate considered this step to represent a new episode in the series of systematic Judaization targeting the city of Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian sanctities, foremost of which is the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
It affirmed that what is happening reflects the occupation's insistence on obliterating the Arab and Islamic identity of the city, distorting history, and the established Palestinian narrative that confirms that the Al-Buraq Wall is an integral part of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which has remained a purely Islamic endowment by the decision of the League of Nations in 1929, as evidenced by historical documents and international legitimacy.
It emphasized that these provocative practices will not change the established fact that Jerusalem is an occupied Palestinian Arab city, our eternal capital, and that all measures taken by the occupation are null and void according to international law and Security Council resolutions, representing a blatant violation of Islamic sanctities and an assault on the Muslims' right to the Al-Buraq Wall, which is an inseparable part of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
It added that this step falls within the policy of "apartheid" and racial discrimination pursued by the occupation against the Palestinian people, their sanctities, and their cultural identity.
The Jerusalem Governorate warned of the repercussions of this dangerous procedure and called on the international community, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Arab League, and the World Council of Churches to bear their responsibilities in confronting these violations and holding the occupation accountable for its crimes against human and religious heritage in the city of Jerusalem.
It affirmed that Jerusalem, with all its landmarks and sanctities, especially the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Al-Buraq Wall, is a red line that cannot be compromised or abandoned, and that all attempts at forgery and Judaization are destined to fail in the face of the steadfastness of the people of Jerusalem and the Palestinian people.
