Release of Activist Muntaha Amara from Zofra Town
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation police arrested activist Muntaha Amara from Zofra town yesterday, Wednesday, on the grounds of incitement related to statements she made during a protest against the war on Gaza, before later releasing her under restrictive conditions.
The police released Amara with conditions, including her removal from the Wadi Ara area for 14 days, during which she must stay in the town of Mashhad.
The police arrived at Amara's home in the village, where she was arrested and taken for questioning at the police station in the city of Umm al-Fahm.
Her husband, Mohammad Amara, said: "The police came to the house today and took my wife to the police station in the city of Umm al-Fahm after handcuffing her."
He added that "there are several lawyers at the police station in the city of Umm al-Fahm to provide legal advice, while no date for her release has been set yet."
He mentioned that political activist Muntaha Amara is involved in numerous political and social activities in the village of Zofra and the city of Umm al-Fahm, and she is one of the women who are stationed at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
