Murder in Araaba Raises Victims to 172 Since the Beginning of the Year
SadaNews Economy - Young Khaled Asla (25 years old) was killed early this Wednesday morning as a result of a shooting incident in the city of Araaba in the Galilee region.
According to a statement from the Magen David Adom, a report was received at 03:36 about a violent incident in the city.
Upon the arrival of the medical teams, a 25-year-old was found unconscious, suffering from serious stab wounds, and attempts to save him were unsuccessful, leading to his death at the scene.
Violent crimes continue to claim lives in the Arab community at an alarming rate, with six Arab citizens killed since the beginning of the week.
Thus, the death toll from murder crimes in the Arab community since the beginning of this year has risen to 172, including 168 Arabs and residents, among whom are 17 women.
Data indicates that 143 of the victims were killed by gunfire, with 84 of them under the age of thirty, including three who were killed before reaching the age of 18. There were also 9 recorded cases of murder by the police.
These shocking numbers come amidst a worsening of murder crimes and acts of violence, amid increasing accusations against the Israeli police of negligence in fulfilling their role in curbing crime and holding criminals accountable.
