"Connect 360": A Day for Employment and Networking Organized by the "Ma'an" Development Work Center
SadaNews - The "Ma'an" Development Work Center, through its innovation and entrepreneurship incubator "MA’AN Hub", is organizing a "Connect 360" day for employment and networking for graduates and job seekers on Tuesday, 26/8 in Ramallah.
The event coordinator, Muhammad Dasht, indicates that the event aims to connect new graduates, job seekers, and entrepreneurs with institutions in the private sector, companies, incubators, accelerators, and supporting organizations, within an interactive environment that enhances employment opportunities and economic growth.
He continued that the event will facilitate networking by creating a direct meeting platform between job seekers and companies and institutions. Employment opportunities will be provided by allowing immediate interviews and direct job offers. Additionally, it will support entrepreneurship by empowering entrepreneurs to present their ideas and projects to investors and supportive institutions.
Dasht stated that the event will also empower targeted groups by enhancing access for women, youth, and people with disabilities to equal opportunities in the labor market. The event will pave the way for building partnerships by linking the private sector with developmental, academic, and international institutions.
Regarding the benefits the event will provide to participants, Dasht clarified that it represents an opportunity for participants to meet employers directly and apply for jobs instantly. It allows them to learn about support programs and funding for entrepreneurial projects, in addition to receiving professional consultations and job guidance. It also opens avenues to learn about the latest trends in the Palestinian labor market and the required skills, and to build a professional network that opens doors to future opportunities.
Dasht emphasized that this edition of Connect 360 represents the launch of a series of field events covering several Palestinian cities, with days organized in "Ramallah, Hebron, Jenin, and Nablus", aiming to reach the largest possible segment of beneficiaries and the private sector.
It is worth mentioning that the Ma'an Development Work Center, according to Dasht, is an independent non-profit Palestinian institution established in 1989, working in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, focusing on marginalized communities.
The center also adopts a human rights-based and community participation approach, implementing programs in the fields of economic development, environment, community empowerment, and capacity building, with a particular focus on entrepreneurship and innovation through the MA’AN Hub, which is considered a platform to support emerging ideas and projects by linking them with investment opportunities.
