Popular National Conference for Jerusalem: Fires at Al-Aqsa are Still Burning
SadaNews - The General Secretariat of the Popular National Conference for Jerusalem stated that Israel is still igniting fires at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, 56 years after the major catastrophic fire it started at the Qibla of Muslims in 1969, thus announcing the beginning of the war on the third holiest site in Islam from which the Noble Prophet ascended to the higher heavens.
The General Secretariat added in a statement issued today on this painful occasion that Israel continues to unleash extremist settlers to ignite an even larger fire than the one that occurred in 1969, dragging the entire region into a vile religious conflict that contradicts all heavenly laws. It is perfectly aware that such daily violations of the Al-Aqsa Mosque ignite fires in the hearts of millions of Muslims worldwide, especially in Palestine, which protects the blessed mosque with hearts and souls and defends it by all available means and in accordance with international norms and treaties that Israel violates without paying any attention.
The General Secretariat affirmed that the official Israeli authorities and the bands of settlers are partners in fueling the religious conflict, which means that this land will only accommodate followers of a specific religion. Thus, they have opened the conflict indefinitely, meaning that future generations will suffer from the fires that have not been extinguished since 1969 and continue to this day.
The General Secretariat emphasized that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is the exclusive property of Muslims and no one disputes their right to it, as this was established by a divine decree that neither Israel nor the world can abolish. It stated that the Islamic world, as a historical bloc, will not allow Israel to continue its violations and transgressions against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which Muslims long for and are passionately drawn to. It confirmed that Israel and its settlers’ continued violations of this sacred place will inevitably lead to a religious war that will only cease with further bloodshed from both sides; this is something that the world must recognize and break its disgraceful silence by putting an end to the occupation state and preventing it from continuing to encroach on the Prophet's place of ascension.
The General Secretariat stated that the Al-Aqsa Mosque will remain a beacon of the Islamic world after Mecca and Medina, and it is the place that Allah has blessed, bestowing upon the people of Jerusalem the honor of defending it and protecting it from the occupier’s aggression and anyone who turns a blind eye to their encroachments on the holiest Islamic sanctities in the world.
The General Secretariat of the Popular National Conference for Jerusalem condemned Israel's continued violation of the Jordanian Hashemite custodianship over the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, foremost among them the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. It stated that the international community must always remember that this custodianship cannot be canceled or bypassed by Israel, as it is a result of historical protection provided by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for the blessed mosque, inherited by the kingdom from generation to generation.
It stressed that the Palestinian people in general, and the people of Jerusalem in particular, will remain at the forefront in protecting Al-Aqsa and defending it, preventing settlers from taking control of it or imposing what they call spatial and temporal division within it. It noted that, although Israel promotes in its media that this issue is a settled matter, the reality shows that the people of Jerusalem are steadfast in the mosque, defending it, and sacrificing their lives out of faith that this divine endowment is worth sacrificing everything precious and valuable.
Finally, the General Secretariat considered that the fire has not been extinguished yet; although it may have been put out in the location, it remains burning in hearts and memories, and this heinous crime cannot be forgotten by our people, whether the time is short or long.
