Young man killed in shooting incident in Nazareth
SadaNews - A young man named Yasser Ihab Tahah (21 years old), from the city of Nazareth, was killed as a result of a shooting incident in the "Marah al-Ghazlan" neighborhood in the town of Yafa Nazareth, on Wednesday.
Medical teams reported that the young man "was unconscious and had no pulse or breathing and suffered injuries that penetrated his body. Medical examinations were conducted, but his condition was critical, and he was pronounced dead at the scene."
The Israeli occupation police stated that they have begun an investigation into the circumstances of the crime, without reporting the arrest of any suspects.
This crime comes just hours after the murder of another young man, Ahmad Hatim Awda (21 years old), from Nazareth, who was shot in Nazareth two days ago.
159 Arab fatalities since the beginning of the year
With this crime, the death toll in the Arab community has risen to 159 since the beginning of the year, including 16 women. It has been found that 138 of the victims were killed by gunfire, and 82 of them were under the age of thirty, among them 3 were killed before reaching the age of 18, while 9 were killed by the police.
This comes amid the worsening and escalation of murder crimes and acts of violence, while the police are neglecting their role in curbing crime in the Arab community.
The year 2024 recorded the killing of 221 people in the Arab community, compared to 222 murders recorded in 2023.
