Occupation Forces Demolish Under-Construction Home in Umm al-Fahm
SadaNews - Occupation machinery and bulldozers, protected by a large force of police and its units, demolished an under-construction house in Umm al-Fahm in the Wadi Ara region, in the north of the country, early Thursday morning, under the pretext of building without a permit.
The Umm al-Fahm municipality stated this morning that "demolition machinery, guarded by a large police force, executed the demolition this Thursday, August 21, 2025, of a house under construction in the al-Araish neighborhood, claiming that the house did not have a building permit. The demolition of the house is part of the demolition campaigns and the policy of tightening restrictions on Arab towns led by Minister Ben-Gvir, who boasts at every occasion about the number of houses he demolishes."
The municipality added that "the demolition of the house in Umm al-Fahm today indicates the continuation of the current government's policy of not providing us with a horizon to find planning and engineering solutions for the structural and detailed maps, through which we can build the future of our Arab towns and create a promising future for our youth. Instead, it undermines our dreams while they are still in their infancy, without us seeing any hope for an end to this mirage that we are living in during the current phase of tightening restrictions on us in all aspects, including budgets and planning, while stopping the bleeding in our Arab community."
