The Palestinian Red Crescent Participates in Evacuating 110 Patients from Gaza to the UAE for Treatment
SadaNews - The teams of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society participated today, Wednesday, in the evacuation of 110 patients and their companions from the Gaza Strip to the United Arab Emirates for treatment, coordinated by the World Health Organization.
The patients were transported by ambulances belonging to the Red Crescent to the Al-Mawasi field hospital, where they spent a full night receiving medical care and shelter. The Society's mental health team also carried out recreational activities for the children and their families to alleviate their suffering before the travel.
This morning, the medical and technical teams of the Red Crescent completed the procedures for accompanying the patients until their departure, as part of ongoing humanitarian efforts to ensure they receive the necessary treatment amid the catastrophic health conditions in the sector.
The Society's efforts, in cooperation with the World Health Organization, are part of a series of humanitarian evacuation operations managed by the organization in the Gaza Strip for months, in response to deteriorating health conditions.
