Sheikh Highlights Civil and Research Institutions on Developments: Unity of Ranks is Necessary to Face Aggression
SadaNews - Today, Wednesday, the Vice President of the State of Palestine, Hussein Sheikh, met with representatives of several Palestinian research and civil institutions, where he briefed them on the latest political developments in light of the ongoing genocide being waged by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip.
Sheikh affirmed that the national priority at this critical stage is to immediately halt the aggression on the Gaza Strip, ensure the entry of urgent humanitarian aid, and stop the violations of the occupation and the assaults of settlers in the West Bank, calling for dedicating all energies and efforts behind this national task. He emphasized that the unity of the Palestinian ranks and the cohesion of the internal front are fundamental in confronting aggression, highlighting the important role played by civil society institutions and think tanks in enhancing the resilience of the community, conveying the Palestinian narrative to the world, and supporting the national decision with positions based on justice, dignity, and the right to self-determination according to international legitimacy and international law.
The discussion addressed mechanisms to activate joint coordination between these institutions and official bodies, serving political, human rights, and humanitarian efforts in light of the escalation of the occupation, and supporting efforts to build a unified Palestinian position to face emerging field, political, and humanitarian challenges.
Representatives from several active national institutions participated in the meeting, including the Ruya Center for Political and Strategic Studies, the Palestinian Peace Coalition, the Act for Conflict Resolution, the Women Affairs Team, and the Zimam Foundation for Creativity and Development.
