The Public Prosecutor in Hebron to Ensure Integrity, Protect Rights, and Enhance Cooperation with Institutions

SadaNews - As part of the field follow-up tours conducted by the Public Prosecution in various governorates of the country, the Attorney General, Advisor Akram Al-Khateeb, made an official visit to the Hebron governorate, accompanied by the Head of the Judicial Inspection Department, Assistant Attorney General Mr. Khaled Awad, and the Head of the Public Prosecution Mr. Nashaat Ayoush, with the aim of reviewing the workflow and ensuring the safety of procedures and the quality of services provided to citizens.

His Excellency began his tour by meeting with the members of the Public Prosecution in the Hebron governorate, in the presence of the Heads of the Hebron Prosecution, the Halhul Prosecution, the Yatta Prosecution, the Dura Prosecution, and the Hebron Appeals Prosecution, where the emphasis was placed on the importance of full compliance with laws and regulations, and ensuring the safety of procedures at all stages of the case, to protect citizens' rights and establish the principles of justice and integrity. The discussion included ways to improve performance and enhance work efficiency, as well as overcoming challenges that citizens may face in accessing justice.

The Attorney General also met with the esteemed President of the Hebron Court of First Instance, Judge Rola Sleibi, and several judges, where both parties affirmed the importance of integration between the Public Prosecution and the judiciary in expediting the resolution of cases, particularly those that affect public rights and citizens' security. During his visit to the court facilities, His Excellency listened to citizens' complaints and observations, affirming that the Public Prosecution pays special attention to direct communication with the public and addressing any violations or breaches according to the law.

He also held a meeting with the Governor of Hebron, Mr. Khaled Dudin, in the presence of security leaders and representatives from several official institutions, to discuss mechanisms for strengthening the rule of law and joint cooperation to face the security, social, and economic challenges in the governorate.

The Attorney General concluded his visit with an extensive meeting with the heads of local authorities, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, members of the Businessmen Forum, and officials from electricity companies, where several vital issues concerning citizens were discussed, topped by the water crisis, the continuity of electricity supply, repeated assaults on roads and public properties, and ways to develop cooperation between the Public Prosecution and local authorities to address these issues, while preserving public facilities, enhancing services provided to citizens, and upholding the rule of law.

This visit comes as part of the Public Prosecution's approach to regular field follow-up, activating the role of the Judicial Inspection Department to ensure integrity and transparency, and to protect rights and freedoms throughout the nation.
