Dutch player scores a "wonderful goal" in the European Conference League qualifiers

SadaNews - Young Dutch player Max Mieddink, forward for AZ Alkmaar, stole the limelight during his team's match in the European Conference League qualifiers by scoring a wonderful goal.

Alkmaar defeated their guest Vaduz from Liechtenstein 3-0 in the first leg of the third round of the Conference League, ahead of the return match scheduled for the end of this weekend.

Mieddink (22 years old) started the match on the bench before coach Martin Martinez brought him on in the 76th minute to replace teammate Troy Parrott.

Just four minutes after coming on, Mieddink scored an incredible goal that became the talk of the media and social media alike.

In the style of renowned Dutch striker Dennis Bergkamp, Mieddink controlled the ball with his foot before it touched the ground, set it up with his thigh, then lobbed it over the goalkeeper into the net.

The official AZ Alkmaar account celebrated Mieddink's third goal on their "Instagram," which brought the team much closer to advancing to the next stage.

The account posted video clips showing the goal from all angles and commented "Get the popcorn ready," referring to the enjoyment and entertainment that awaits viewers of this goal.

This goal is Mieddink's second with Alkmaar in the Conference League qualifiers for the new season, having previously scored against Finnish goalkeeper Elvis Tamberi in the last round.

It is noteworthy that Mieddink is a graduate of the AZ Alkmaar academy, and he had left for Vitesse on loan for six months two seasons ago before returning to his parent team last summer.

Mieddink has scored 16 goals and provided one assist in 54 matches played throughout his career with Alkmaar, according to the famous "Transfermarkt" website.
