The Attorney General Discusses Ways to Enhance Cooperation with the Office of International Drug Control and Law Enforcement
SadaNews - The Attorney General, Counselor Akram Al-Khateeb, received Mr. Joel Wiegert, the Director-General of the Office of International Drug Control and Law Enforcement, in the presence of specialists from both sides.
During the meeting, the Attorney General provided a comprehensive presentation on the reality of the Public Prosecution's work, clarifying the serious challenges it faces in light of the ongoing violations committed by the occupying authorities, whether in the Gaza Strip or the West Bank, including crimes committed by settlers against Palestinian citizens and their properties.
Counselor Al-Khateeb emphasized that the Public Prosecution, despite the financial crisis faced by state institutions, continues to perform its duties efficiently and places great importance on enhancing its capabilities in combating money laundering and cyber crimes, improving investigation and monitoring mechanisms, as well as updating the management system for criminal case proceedings "Mizan 3".
For his part, Mr. Wiegert expressed his appreciation for the role of the Palestinian Public Prosecution, emphasizing the importance of professional partnership in law enforcement, and exchanging expertise to support the Public Prosecution's work in combating crime and enhancing the rule of law.
