Local Organizations: The Threat of Occupying the Sector is Another Evidence of the True Goals of the Open Genocide War

SadaNews - The scenes and images of the horrific tragedy that the Gaza Strip is experiencing continue, with dozens of martyrs and hundreds of injured falling daily, as the policies of starvation wreak havoc on the vast majority of the population under the ongoing unjust blockade, and the prevention of humanitarian aid. Reports indicate an imminent collapse of the medical and health system in the Gaza Strip, along with the rising number of those whose lives are threatened by death from hunger, as fears rise about dozens of citizens gathering in larger groups while their ability to obtain food dissipates.

The Palestinian Network of Local Organizations asserts that these circumstances, which are accompanied by threats to reoccupy the sector and plans for settlement in wide areas, along with what is being circulated in the Hebrew media about the imminent collapse of the Doha negotiations, and that the occupation government seeks to sabotage them, disregard all international calls demanding an end to the genocide war, and even for the lives of Israeli prisoners, serve as further proof that negotiations are used as a tool for pressure and bargaining. These threats reflect the true objectives of the ongoing brutal war for the 22nd consecutive month, which aims to displace the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip, extending the plan under the same policy to ethnically cleanse the West Bank, including Jerusalem, of its original inhabitants and eliminate the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people.

The Palestinian Network of Local Organizations emphasizes the necessity of taking these threats of occupying the sector seriously, given the declared intentions of the occupation government and the fact that more than 80% of the Gaza Strip is under the direct military orders of the occupation army. Vast areas are being transformed into enclaves and pockets that suffocate people's lives. At the same time, it calls for wide and immediate action to secure international protection for the Palestinian people, and to provide serious international will to stop the brutal aggression and hold the international system fully responsible for activating accountability tools regarding the ongoing crimes of occupation, including the use of "hunger as a weapon" against defenseless civilians. It demands that international commitments set forth in the Geneva Conventions, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and all international charters be upheld to obligate the occupying power to immediately cease aggression, and to open safe corridors for delivering humanitarian and relief aid to the Gaza Strip, saving the hungry from certain death under the umbrella of the United Nations and its specialized institutions so that the world does not become a witness to a humanitarian tragedy occurring before its eyes without taking any action.
