Return of the Families of Arab Al-Milihat to Their Lands After Weeks of Forced Displacement Due to Occupation and Settlers
SadaNews - This Thursday evening, the families of the Arab Al-Milihat community returned to their lands in the Al-Marjat gathering in Jericho Governorate, after a forced displacement that lasted nearly a month due to assaults from the occupation and settlers, and their continuous attempts to uproot them from their land.
This return is the result of tremendous and ongoing efforts led by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, chaired by Minister Muayyad Shaaban, with the support of the Jericho Governorate represented by His Excellency Governor Dr. Hussein Hamayel, alongside the assistance of the Secretary of the "Fatah" Movement in Jericho, Nael Abu Al-Asal, and supported by national institutions and the authority's staff, who worked continuously around the clock to ensure the return of the families and empower them to withstand and resist the displacement policies.
The families of Arab Al-Milihat played a pivotal and essential role in this return, as they insisted on returning to their land despite all attempts to prevent them and the pressures from the occupation, affirming that their steadfastness is stronger than the uprooting policies, and that returning to the land is a right that does not expire over time.
The gathering has been supplied with all the essential components for steadfastness, including tents, lighting, zinc sheets, and bedding, to ensure the stability of the families and reinforce their presence in the area, confirming that this land will remain Palestinian despite all attempts at uprooting and displacement.
This return serves as a national and popular message that the Palestinian people are committed to their right to remain and exist, and they will not allow the imposition of a new colonial settlement reality at the expense of their historical rights.
