The Body of a Young Woman Found and 5 People Arrested in the Town of Musharifah
SadaNews - The body of young woman Layali Qasim Ighbariya (28 years old) was found on Sunday night inside a home in the town of Musharifah in the Wadi Ara area. The Israeli police announced suspicions of a murder and the arrest of 5 suspects; meanwhile, the family refuted the police narrative.
The family stated that "our daughter suffers from a severe mental condition and schizophrenia. When she was having an episode, we contacted the police for assistance in controlling her. When they arrived at the house, our daughter was alive, and she died in the hands of the police officers."
They added that "the police arrested family members, all of whom are educated and among the best in the village." They emphasized that "the police statement is false and incorrect. We did not kill our daughter, and what was published is untrue; we requested them to amend their statement and publish the truth."
The police announced the arrest of 5 suspects following this. Their statement mentioned that they began an investigation after receiving a report about finding a woman's body inside an apartment in the Wadi Ara area.
They indicated that their personnel started gathering evidence and clues from the scene, alongside search operations that resulted in the arrest of 5 suspects involved in the crime.
The young woman’s body has been transferred to Abu Kabir Institute of Forensic Medicine to determine the cause of death.
